About VIVO

Background

Like many other enterprises, the Covid-19 pandemic interrupted development of VIVO’s launch product for families. However, in hindsight, it might actually have served to help improve the CYBERSOS® and ACTIVCYBER® offerings you see today.

So many more of us were forced to work from home than would otherwise have been the case, and this accelerated the learning of a vast number of people as to what better online security looks like – as many were having to use it to access online workspaces for the first time.

Founded and led by the co-founder of the pioneer of non-standard online home insurance in the UK, Avantia Insurance (HomeProtect), we are a business that is steeped in innovation, disruption and value delivery for consumers and providers alike.

Neil Huzinga founded Vivo Lifestyle Services in 2019 with the single intent of bringing a consumer-focused solution to the growing challenge of cybercrime in our personal and small business space.

Obsessed with your needs

CYBERSOS

A caring, human, family-centred product

Four years later, we launched our consumer-focused CYBERSOS® range of personal cyber emergency services designed to help people at a time that can be extremely distressing.

The feeling of privacy being invaded, not knowing what else might be about to happen, losing personal data, documents or, possibly even worse, the loss or unauthorised sharing of personal or family photos.

Not being able to go about our online lives as we would wish, social media accounts compromised or controlled by someone else.

Worry, anxiety, a feeling of helplessness.

We see all of these in the customers we talk to, which is why we were determined to be the first to bring a caring, human solution to the UK.

ACTIVCYBER

Created specifically for micro-SMEs
We took the same meticulous approach to the research and development of our ACTIVCYBER® range as we did with CYBERSOS®.

With the continuing democratisation of computing and cloud power, cybercriminals can now run highly-sophisticated campaigns from a single stack, possibly even in a bedroom.

As a result, small businesses have now become a favoured target of those criminals – not for the notoriety, but because there just so many of them, and they operate with very little in terms of robust cyber defences.

Conversely, with less than 85% of all micro-SMEs and small businesses taking-up any kind of specific commercial cyber insurance,we knew we had to put together something especially for the engine-room of our economy.

ACTIVID

ACTIVID® completed our launch products line-up in Spring 2025.

In England & Wales alone, between 2024-2025, fraud incidents increased 31%.

Between 2023 and 2025, identity theft surged globally by 45% and barely a week went by without news of another corporate breach where customer details had been compromised.

And that’s the worst thing – nothing we can do as individuals can stop companies being hacked. However, there are things we can do to help limit the impact those hacks might have on us – and that is where ACTIVID® comes in.

Coincidentally, within weeks of launch, the UK experienced the very high-profile consumer-focused hacks of Marks & Spencer, the Co-op and Harrods – a timely reminder, if one were needed, of the ever-present threat to our online identities in exchange for the convenience of being able to do so much online.

The perfect solution for employers, affinities
